Australian resurgence should not surprise anyone
The Australian side has won everything that has come their way. And then, they have won more. Which is surprising given that not so far in the recent past, they had lost most of their crème de la crème in the last couple of years and in turn, lost most of the games they participated in as well.

Eden Gardens controversy should have been avoided
Home advantage is something every side craves for and deserves in any sport. In cricket, it is unique in a way that the playing area can also be prepared according to what suits the home side, and for Indians to expect the pitch in the second game at Kolkata to be a turner was a reasonable demand.

Harbhajan Singh was not in the Indian team when I took over as coach for the home series against Zimbabwe. I first met Bhajji when the Indian team met in Chennai for a camp to prepare for the historic series against Australia in 2001. I asked him to run a few laps of the ground, just before I rushed into the pavilion to attend to a call from the Board of Control for Cricket in India. After answering that call, I returned to the nets to watch our guys train. I suddenly started looking for Bhaji and was told that he was still running. That was nearly 90 minutes after I got that telephone call. I felt embarrassed, but Bhaji was obedient as ever.
