Atul Huckoo, President

As President of Edison Cricket Club, Atul Huckoo has led the club from the front. He has attracted corporate sponsorships from different industry segments and Fortune 500 companies. Some of the prominent sponsors include, but not limited to, Emirates Airline, Glaceau, Dish Network, State Bank of India, Bisleri, DIRECTV, Kingfisher Beer, Alfred Hammel Swiss Watches, Indus American Bank, Western Union , Diamond Essence, EBC Radio and ICICI Bank. Under his guidance, the club members have fewer monetary worries and more time to enjoy what they love most  Cricket. He has been instrumental to get the Edison Cricket Club registered as a 501-3(c) non-profit organization. He was also instrumental in getting a dedicated home ground granted to the club from Edison Township . To popularize the game of cricket in Edison he started a T20 community cricket tournament in which prominent leaders of the community would play the game along with ECC members. In keeping with the mission statement to promote cricket to the second generatiuon he also started the Summer Coaching Camp for under - 15 and under - 19 children in 2009 with the help of the Edison School Board. One of his pet projects now is to have a dynamic website for the club in 2010 and to creat an affinity or loyality program for its members. Atul has been connected with cricket all his life. He has represented his school and college in Mumbai while he played for various cricket clubs too. In Dubai , UAE he represented Gulf News, a newspaper conglomerate, in many cricket tournaments including day and night games played at iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium. He also represented Professional Management Group, a Sunil Gavaskar-owned company.

Srujal Parikh, Vice President

As Vice President of Edison Cricket Club, Srujal handles helps the President in running of the club. He has ensured that the Club is managed in the most efficient manner. Srujal has a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from MS university Baroda and is currently working as a IT Manager at PACO SPORTS LTD. Srujal retains different position in Non Profit Organizations like FIA and Dasehra Festival. As a cricket love Srujal has represented his team during his college days while in MS University and Shreyesh High School team in Baroda from where Kiran More, Atul Bedade and Rakesh Parikh started their cricket carriers. His passion for the game made him join as a volunteer and a playing member of Edison Cricket Club.

Sanjay Sharma, Secretary

As the Secretary of the club, Sanjay maintains an open and free communication channel with its members and the various leagues which ECC participates in. He also is responsible for keeping track of player availability during the season, player statistics during the season which is key when selecting the award winners at the end of the season, providing schedules for the season etc. Sanjay has a Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from CUNY. Before moving to USA Sanjay played high school level cricket in India . He has been playing cricket in various clubs in US for the last 20 year, firstly in New York and now for Edison Cricket Club for the last two years. Sanjay is a right hand batsmen and right hand off spin bowler.

Raja Shah, Treasurer & Web Master

Raja is an ardent cricket fan and has played school/college level cricket in Mumbai. He prefers to open the innings and is also a part time leg break bowler. He loves to see Cricket grow in poularity in the USA and is committed to contribute towards the cause.  He is recently appointed as a treasurer for ECC. He has promised to bring transparency and accountability while making ECC a dominant club in the cricketing scenario in USA.

Professionally, Raja is Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Essence, a reputed 30 year old brand of the best simualted diamonds. Raja also owns and operates his recruitment and web development firm Websposure LLC. Recently, Raja and his office in Rajkot helped ECC revamp the entire web site.

Sriram Srinivasan, Captain [Team playing in Cricket League of New Jersey (CLNJ)]

Sriram, is the Captain of Edison Cricket Club. He has helped and advised Divyesh on the field since 2005 and helped ECC win many a games with his cricketing mind. This Tamil Nadu-born sports enthusiast is a firm believer that Cricket teaches team work, gives mental strength, and improves concentration powers and focus in achieving a positive end result (victory for the team!). He compares playing cricket to working out in a gym. The more involved you get in doing it (cricket or gym workout), the more your interest goes up, he adds. Srinivasan who has lead Senior Division cricket league (league from which Ranji trophy team is selected), Chennai University and school teams in Tamil Nadu says his chief goal is to make his team win as many matches as possible this season. “Personal stats are secondary as compared to team victories.

Chirag Patel, Chirag Patel, Vice Captain [Team playing in Cricket League of New Jersey (CLNJ)]

Born on Aug 3rd, Ahmadabad, Gujarat Chirag Patel with a degree of BS in Mechanical Engineering played cricket for his school, University and later on for the Elecon Engineering company in India. He did his MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Tech, NJ while playing SGCC during the 1992 – 1996 period. He took a break from cricket a few years and joined the Edison Cricket Club in 2004. Chirag is a senior member of the club and has often played some important knocks which have been instrumental in winning the games for ECC. In 2004, 2005 and 2007 he scored the highest number of runs for ECC and bagged the Best Batman Award. He helps the captain on and off the field and his views are widely respected in the team and club.

Sujit Venugopal, Captain ( Team Playing in MCL )

Sujit is the Vice Captain of the team playing in the Millennium Cricket League (MCL) which is played every Saturday during the season. He is one of the most senior members of the club and has been representing the club since 2004. Sujit has a Bachelor of Engineering Computer Engineering from University of Mumbai from Agnel, Bandra. Currently, working as a Software Engineer at Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Sujit love for cricket began in his school days when he saw the Indian team lift the 1983 world cup and he claims himself to be a cricket fanatic. He played cricket during his engineering days for his college and from there on moved to National Stock Exchange where he used to play for the company in financial companies cricket tournaments. He is a Right Hand Opening batsmen and a part time Spin. His favorite fielding position is the Short Cover position. His undying love for the game of cricket, which has made him a member of Edison Cricket Club, is summed up in t he statement he has as his signature on his emails... "Some people think cricket is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it much more serious than that."

Santosh Kumar, Vice Captain (Team Playing in MCL)

Santosh besides Captaining the team playing in the Millennium Cricket League (MCL) also maintains and updates the club website that is used to keep track of player availability during the season which provides schedules for the season along with many other information to club members and beyond. He joined ECC in 2004 has been taken many volunteer roles since than, he has been the club secretary, treasurer, selector and webmaster of the club since 2004. His contribution to the club has been invaluable.

Divyesh Patel, Talent Recruiting Manager

DIVYESH has Captained the Edison Cricket Club since 2005 to 2007. He has been called a coolant. He calms the team at times of emotional excitement and makes playing Cricket truly a gentlemans game. Divyesh has been a Positive contributor. Many of you may not know that Edison Cricket Club had won only two games in the entire season in the first year. Under the strong leadership of Divyesh, the Club has won more than 60% of the played games in 2006. Now being the Talent Recruiter he helps the club find the right players for the club.

Ramandeep Singh Jaj, Grievance Manager

Ramandeep Singh Jaj, fondly called as Raman by his family and friends is one of the new members of Edison Cricket Club. Raman’s love for cricket startedat a very young age as he was inspired by his dad, Mr. Upender Singh Jaj who played for both Mumbai and Chennai teams.

Raman  holds a Master’s in Business Administration and has been inPharmaceutcial Sales & Marketing for the past 7 years. He is married to Shamini, a prominent TV personality, winner of Miss Chennai  pageant in 2000 and an ardent lover and supporter of cricket.

Raman is an opening batsman and medium pacer. His brilliance in the field is a great source of motivation for all his team members. He is passionate about cricket and a diehard fan of the Indian team. He has represented his school, college and district in Chennai. In a short span of time he has shown great dedication to Edison Cricket Club both on and off the field and wants to contribute in any which way to make the club one of the finest.

Agaram Sai Kumar, Volunteer Manager

Has an Engineering Degree from Bangalore University and is employed with reputed firm in Wall Street as an Information Technology executive. An average cricketer as he puts it, bowls medium pace and is a swanky batsman. He did his schooling in Don Bosco,Chennai and hence had the opportunity to be under some quality cricket coaches right from those days. The passion built on as he played for his school and IV division TNCA league. He has also represented his college for Bangalore University. The years after college was spent on furthering career goals but deep within the passion for the game remained.

He moved to Singapore and ended up playing for a corporate team in the Singapore Cricket Association league. When he came to the US in 2006 he joined Edison Cricket Club. As a Edison Cricket Club member he has been a passionate player,contributor and now has taken on the role to manage the volunteer work program which is becoming a critical function as the club grows and spreads its reach in United States.

Prashanth Lakhihal, Prashanth Lakhihal, Press Attache

Prashanth Lakhihal, MBA, is a former reporter with India Post and India Tribune. Currently working as a project manager in IT field, he retains interest in writing and media.Prashanth is an Ethnic Fellow of The New York Times Foundation.

He is also a Fellow of Scripps Howard Foundation. His passion for the game of cricket has made him a volunteer guest write and press attaché of Edison Cricket Club.

Reema R Desai ESQ, Attorney, Attorney

Reema practices primarily in the areas of immigration and family law as well as litigation, including municipal court, landlord-tenant and collection matters.

Prior to joining ShahDesai, PC, Reema worked at the international law firm of Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker, where she represented several multinational corporations. She practiced litigation in the areas of products liability, general liability, construction, and immigration law.

Reema obtained her juris doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark. Upon graduating law school, Reema worked for the Presiding Judge of the Middlesex County Superior Court, Civil Division. As a judicial law clerk, she learned the inner workings of the New Jersey court system and civil trial practice.

During her law school career, Reema concentrated in immigration and human rights law. She interned at the Executive Office of Immigration Review, where she worked within the government to gain an in-depth knowledge of the United States’ immigration system. While in law school, Reema served as the Managing Editor of the Rutgers Computer & Technology Law Journal.

Reema is a member of the American Bar, New Jersey Bar and American Immigration Lawyers Associations. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. Reema received her undergraduate degree in physical therapy from Boston University. She is fluent in Gujarati and has a working knowledge of Hindi.
